Who is the 12-pack for?

Home bakers who go through a carton a week, and small bakeries, cafés, and bars that want a case on the shelf. Unopened cartons keep for 15 months, so a case is a supply, not a commitment.

Why not just drain a can?

Draining cans 6 to 8 cans per liter, and 6 to 8 cans of chickpeas you did not want. The liquid is cloudy in one can and thin in the next, sometimes with bits of broken chickpea in it. You find out whether it will whip after you have started.
Plant Whip One carton. Nothing left over. The same strength and the same stiff peaks every time, so you know before you start.

Will it taste like chickpeas?

You will not notice it. On its own it has a faint, mild taste. Whipped with sugar, baked, or shaken into a drink, it is unnoticeable.

Is it safe for an egg allergy?

Plant Whip contains no eggs. It is made from chickpeas only. If you or your child has a food allergy, please read the full ingredient information above and check with your doctor or allergist.

How do I whip it?

Pour it cold into a clean, dry bowl. Whip with an electric mixer on high for 3 to 6 minutes until stiff peaks form. Add sugar gradually for meringue. A pinch of cream of tartar helps it hold.
